Like everyone, I have been busy with life and spent the time to focus on my own personal business goals. I decided that if I am going to move forward with this business I need to make it a priority so that I can take it to the next level. So here is a little taste of what I have done and plan to continue to to do. Over the past couple
of years, I have been focused my business on individuals who are downsizing,
particularly seniors. This has given me great joy. In doing this, I have also
seen a need to assist those who are going through big life transitions, such as
losing a loved one. These transitions not only cause emotional pain but
sometimes leave those left not knowing what needs to be done. Things like cleaning
out items from a loved one that has past, assisting in changing passwords,
organizing documents, managing day to day tasks and assisting on the
computer.
I have had the
privilege to work with individuals downsizing from large estates, which has
saved their adult children from this emotional and time-consuming chore. I have
transitioned retired couples from their large family homes to smaller more
manageable homes or in some cases to assisted living centers. I have
established critically needed systems of filing and billing for clients with
home offices, as well as working with individuals to unload a lifetime’s worth
of memories, in order to bring peace and order back into their homes. As my personal life journey has proven, a chaos-free environment really can help you live a more productive — and happier — life.
So here's to the next stage of Organizing You!
Organizing Tip
Start our day off right! Take thirty minutes each night before you go to bed and prepare for the next day. This includes not only making a list of what you need to accomplish the next day, but also preparing for the morning. Pre-packing lunches, gathering everything for errands or outings and putting them in your car is time well spent. Being prepared in advance makes mornings less stressful, ensures that nothing is forgotten and you are on time. You may actually get to enjoy that second cup of coffee.
